Book of Voices
Synopsis
The silence was the only thing they had ever been certain of.
For generations, the faithful have listened to a God who no longer speaks. Abraham has waited his whole life to hear the divine voice—and when it finally comes, it commands him to sacrifice his only son. But as the knife descends, an angel stays his hand with a truth more devastating than silence: the voice was a lie.
Centuries earlier, Noah received a different kind of summons—a whisper that became a command, a deluge that would wash away everything he had ever known. He built an ark. He saved a remnant. And when the waters receded, he discovered that survival was only the beginning of the cost.
Book of Voices is a two-part apocryphon that reimagines the foundational stories of Abraham and Noah as a single, haunting meditation on faith and deception. It asks: What if the voice that commanded the sacrifice was not the voice of God? What if the silence we have always feared was never empty—but waiting?
