Grace has spent her whole life wishing she could do something to make the world better. The world has spent just as long getting her to give up. Corporations are winning the slow war against moral decency, the environment is collapsing, governments are becoming authoritarian. Every day the book grinds down a little harder, and Grace lets go of a little more hope.

Then the Antithesis arrive, and Grace gains the power to finally change something.

If the invaders don't burn it all down first, of course. 

A fanfiction of RavensDagger's Stray Cat Strut, set at the very start of the war against the Antithesis, following one of the first Vanguards selected. Expect more focus on politics, the slow descent into corporate dystopia, and an MC desperately trying to figure out what being a 'Samurai' means in a world that has never seen the like of her before. A bit less sass and slaughter, a bit more focus on the end of the world and the death of decency.
