VOID ASCENSION: SURVIVING A POST APOCALYPTIC WORLD

Twenty years ago, humanity celebrated its greatest victory.  An extinction-level asteroid named Ragnarok was discovered on a collision course with Earth. The combined militaries of the world launched every weapon available and successfully shattered the asteroid before impact.  Humanity rejoiced.  Seven days later, fragments of the destroyed asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere.  The fragments carried an unknown cosmic substance later called Void Matter.  Millions died.  Plants evolved into predators.  Animals transformed into monsters.  Weather became unstable and deadly.  Most humans infected by Void Matter became mindless zombie-like creatures known as Hollowed.  A tiny percentage awakened supernatural abilities.  Civilization collapsed within months.  Twenty years later, humanity survives only in isolated settlements protected by walls, powerful Awakened, and ancient pre-collapse technology.  No one knows the true origin of Void Matter.  No one knows why certain people awaken powers.  No one knows what waits beyond the wastelands.  But the answers are hidden among the asteroid fragments scattered across the world.
