The Will to Live Is My Strongest Skill (Vol. 1–3, Complete)
Synopsis
Iron Everfall awakens in an unfamiliar body—in a world where magic has replaced science and ancient technologies have become forgotten relics.
In his past life, he was a genius of engineering. Here, he’s just another survivor.
But Iron sees what others miss.
Where mages see miracles, he sees a system.
Where ruins are deemed cursed, he finds functioning machinery.
Every step in this world is a test: toxic zones, mutated creatures, and cities where power is held through fear and force. Alongside unexpected allies, he seeks more than survival—he seeks control.
Yet this world offers no mercy.
One miscalculation, and you are dead.
One weakness, and you are used.
To survive, Iron must unite the irreconcilable: the logic of science and the chaos of magic.
But if we’re being honest… To survive, he will have to push his body to its absolute limits and cut off all attachments, becoming someone who is emotionally dependent on no one.
And perhaps… become something more than human.
But the ultimate question is: can he actually do it?
After all, Iron gains a unique gift—the magic of manipulating the laws of physics. But there is a terrible price to pay. For this power not to burn him out, he must become much stronger—otherwise, the next attempt to use it will be his last.
(Some situations, dialogues, and elements of humor are taken from my life. Iron largely reflects my personality, and future characters such as Noah and Elyria are based on my friends.)
Enjoy reading!
Narrative Note:
The story is primarily told from Iron’s first-person perspective. However, many chapters—especially in the future—will shift to third-person narration to better explore the wider world, major events, and deeper lore.
