The Watcher
Synopsis
Haze didn't expect that godhood awaited after death. At least, something akin to godhood. He was an existence that puppeteered the body known as Haziel, heir to House Icesworn.
But his dreams of greatness are quickly shattered when he realizes that he’s talentless. He's not strong, not good at swordsmanship despite being an Icesworn. All he has is a unique form of omniscience and his incorporeal mind. Still, he must become Champion. As the Icesworn heir and someone pulled back from death’s embrace, that was what he was entitled to at the bare minimum.
So, when given the opportunity to learn lethal magic, he took it. Even if Haziel had no idea what he agreed to. When the Calamity nears, he will be legendary.
And, he will be Cibel’s savior.
But as much as he thinks he is alone in his pursuit for power, there are others who want to assist him when the Calamity comes: an illegitimate brother, a skeptical Saintess, and many more. Some stand with him when the Calamity dawns, while others despise him for what he has become.
