The Threshold War — Volume 1: The Ships that Sail on Memory
Synopsis
By the 2200s, runaway artificial intelligence has fractured human civilization into two rival federations, completely isolated from one another: one chose cybernetic augmentation, the other refused it. Earth is dying fast, and both are in a race against extinction.
The cyborgs have a solution: strip what remains of Earth's resources, build a galactic fleet, and leave. To save their own, they are prepared for anything — including the unspeakable.
The humans have no fleet, no plan, and no allies. They are watching in horror as they realize they are a century behind. All they can do is resist — to avoid being led to slaughter like cattle, with no prospect beyond desperately pushing back the fatal deadline.
Until a third path emerges — one nobody has yet conceived. But it runs straight through a war without mercy.
The Threshold War is a hard science fiction novel exploring survival, ideology, and the price of being right.
