The Spring Ledger

Lienna Vast spent six years balancing other people's seasonal accounts. Then the office fired her, the road froze behind her, and her grandmother's orchard handed her a debt no ordinary clerk could close.

The orchard owes spring.

The stove is frozen shut. The mother tree is overdrawn. The mill contract wants her last useful tools. And in the kitchen, an old wood-bound ledger begins bleeding red entries through the page:

Spring Deficit: unpaid.

The ledger is not a friendly system. It gives no quests, no levels, and no easy rewards. It only accepts work that can be touched: ash sorted by hand, bitter fruit ground into spring powder, runes carved into cracked stone, contract paper folded into door strips, two sprouts kept alive through one more cold night.

If Lienna wants a harvest, she will have to build the loop herself: hearth, seedbed, food, seed stock, and neighbors who are not debts to be collected.
