Oscar Reed is an ordinary guy with no social life or friends. After a fateful encounter with a foreign stranger, Oscar is summoned into a new world. A world with strange, job-based magic that feels like his JRPG video games. He’ll either adapt to this world’s different rules - or die. 

Brought into this new world by a strange and powerful being for a purpose, Oscar becomes entangled in its quest for freedom. His task? To hunt down the six heroes of old that severed its soul into six physical stones and return them to their rightful owner. 

As Oscar spends more time with this stranger, he soon realizes it was sealed away for a reason. Placed into a bind of morality versus self-preservation, Oscar must navigate a fearsome new realm while he grows as a man and finds the friends he never knew in his own world.
