The Labyrinth of Woes

by Ogdred Ongoing

Synopsis

Dungeons don't run themselves.

Behind every pit trap and wandering monster is a logistics chain — requisition forms for poison darts, shift rosters for the barracks, and supply shipments to places three levels below anyone who remembers they exist. Someone has to sign the paperwork. Someone has to listen when the orcs want more meat and the goblins want more explosions and the Head of Resources wants everyone to stop bothering her.

That someone is the Keeper.

The Labyrinth of Woes is a dungeon with hundreds of inhabitants, a crumbling infrastructure, and a year-long leadership vacuum that left its most overworked dark elf holding the whole thing together by sheer bureaucratic spite. When the dungeon finally names a successor, it doesn't choose her. It chooses an outsider with a notebook and entirely different views on how to manage the dungeon.

He might be right. He might also be in over his head. The dungeon doesn't care either way — it has a backlog.

The Labyrinth of Woes is a dungeon management fantasy featuring hand-drawn ink illustrations, a dark comedy tone, serious undertones, and an unreasonable amount of paperwork.
