Synopsis

In a decaying world of shifting smart-metal architecture, the Hemolymph people of the Flower face existential decline: their ancient birthing Mothers grow silent, producing fewer children each season. No one knows why.

Varth, a long-limbed greyskin climber and former Wall runner, retrieves a shard of smart metal and has a cynical, mutant dwarf forge it into an ugly, deliberately brutal blade. In exchange he brings coolant the dwarf drinks like liquor. The dwarf’s parting words are bleak: keep trying to save a people already falling apart until you forget their names.
