Silence

The end of time came, and humanity endured.

When the universe faced its cold death, mankind rose in one voice and pushed back the final dark. The Cold was stopped. Creation was saved. And then, across the eons that followed, humanity forgot how to live.

Now mankind survives within Seraphim, a decaying Birch world built around the black heart of the galaxy. Vast levels lie dormant. Ancient laws are recited but no longer written. Whole regions have gone dark. Tradition rules over truth, and beneath the silence of humanity’s greatest refuge, forgotten mysteries wait.

The story follows Egeiro, a young scribe of Exousia, raised to preserve the history of man but haunted by the truths left unwritten. When he encounters a strange group of outcasts known as the Whispers, he is drawn into a forbidden journey with one impossible goal:

leave Seraphim.

The Silence is a work in progress that grew out of a dream I had, and it has slowly become something very close to my heart. I am still new to writing and learning as I go, so any feedback, thoughts, or criticism are deeply appreciated.
