Hammer doesn’t laugh when she tells him her dream. He listens, and then decides to make it real. What forms between them isn’t gentle or safe. He breaks the world open just enough for her to step through, and on the other side she becomes something else entirely. Not just a princess, but a pirate princess. And Hammer? A kind of knight: a black knight.

Set roughly 10,000 years in humanity’s future, TETC explores life at the fringes of a vast and ancient galactic civilization.

Millennia ago, humanity spread across the entire Milky Way, united under the rule of an immortal Emperor. In the ages since, war, scarcity, and instability have faded into distant memory. For longer than any living person can truly comprehend, humanity has known only peace, prosperity, and order: so much so that history itself seemed to have come to an end.

But history does not stay buried forever. The discovery of a stable wormhole has changed everything.

On the other side lies a second galaxy, far larger than our own, quickly dubbed New Eden. What followed was a surge of expansion unlike anything seen in thousands of years. In mere decades, millions of colonies and outposts were established, with countless more ships crossing into this new frontier every day.

And with that frontier came the return of something long thought extinct: at the edges of this growing domain, beyond the reach of firm Imperial control, piracy has begun to re-emerge. Criminal networks, outlaws, and opportunists now find space to regroup and thrive in the gaps between order and expansion.

Among them stirs the remnant of an ancient pirate clan: one that does not merely seek to survive, but to reclaim and surpass the power it once held.

New Chapters are planned to be released every Friday, with occasional extras during the week. I will also potentially be posting in-universe short stories unrelated to the main story as well as lore chapters separately under other "books" so make sure you follow me if you're interested in that.

Sensitive content disclosure: Torture, slavery, rape, etc. are depicted in the story and relatively heavily present. I do my best to address these things tastefully and respectfully. I do not include any graphic rape scenes, but there will be times where it is implied and the aftermath is shown.

If you are sensitive to any "sensitive content" this may not be the story for you. Those three are the ones that come up most, but others may also come up as well.

Concerning AI usage: Some scenes in this story are accompanied by carefully generated images. These are not intended to be exact depictions, but rather approximate visual interpretations: closer to how an in-universe artist might recreate an event from records. They aim to capture the feeling of a scene while leaving room for your own imagination.

AI tools were also used in a limited capacity during the writing process. However, the story itself is fully guided by human intent and has gone through multiple rounds of manual editing and revision. What you are reading is the story I set out to tell, shaped and refined through deliberate effort.

I understand that some readers have reservations about the use of AI in creative work. My goal here is not to replace the creative process, but to support it where appropriate. I’ve approached its use with care, and I hope the final result speaks for itself.
