Synopsis

Cork is an Elf in a world where that's an increasingly rare thing. With a bounty out for elves and no money, she has only one prospect, a job in a mine in a small village near Twin Falls. Attempting to simply build a life for herself, she finds herself falling in love with the local residents, especially the little old lady that owns the local village trading post, Patsy, and her family. But her bright future is in trouble when the owners of the mine start demanding more and more of the small village.
As the demands grow harsher, treatment grows worse, and the village is pushed toward its breaking point, Cork must choose between keeping her head down and standing up for the people who took her in.
