"The Bulb Girlfriend." It is a humanoid plant that grows from a blood-red bulb about 15 centimeters in diameter, fitting perfectly in both hands. It germinates in the soil and takes about a year to grow to the size of an adult woman. If nourished sufficiently, it can be separated from the soil and "harvested." The "Bulb Girlfriend" possesses high intelligence and self-awareness, capable of acting autonomously. She will love you—her one and only partner—sincerely and with all her heart, just like a real human woman, or perhaps even more devotedly than one.

Desperate desire, loneliness, and anxiety about the future lure a man into hell. Hirotaka Inagaki, who becomes a test subject for "Houga Farm," begins to cultivate a beautiful woman named "Satsuki" from a bulb planted in the soil. Guided by his brilliant trainer, Iori Honda, Inagaki becomes obsessed with her development. However, there is a price demanded for her growth.

To sustain the world, a sacrifice is required. As his sanity gradually fades, Inagaki begins to have recurring, meaningful dreams: the ocean of his hometown and a black mirror.
