Jacob Bentley should have been dead. Instead, through an unconventional experiment and sheer luck he’s managed to survive into the future.

But things aren’t the same anymore. The world is a desolate wasteland. Mutant animals prowl the remains of cities, and the few pieces left of Jacobs’ world are jealously guarded by factions that barely understand how they work. And people like Jacob are persecuted for ruining the world, whether guilty or not.

With the odds stacked against him and mysterious warlords plotting to take over the Badlands, Jacob will have to learn to fight, recover lost knowledge, and discover the secrets behind the mysterious computer system known as the DUST if there is any chance of rebuilding the world.

He’s cheated death itself. Now Jacob has to save the world – or what remains of it.
