Reborn with an Eating Disorder

She died a stranger's death, comforted by a kind man in fine clothes. She woke up as an orb of light in front of two women arguing about what to do with her.

Now she's an Ilvante — a species best known for animating corpses and being the reason Inquisitors have a job. She hatched into a cave full of hungry siblings, in a body built for eating first and thinking second, with a hunger that doesn't care what's food and what's family.

Her goals are simple: figure out what she actually is, don't get murdered by the people who are (correctly) terrified of what she is, and maybe, eventually, order a sandwich.

Follow Maven as she claws, eats, and awkwardly integrates her way through a world that was never built with squid-shaped monsters in mind — one stolen body, one badly mispronounced word, and one deeply regrettable food choice at a time.
