Oblivion's Ascent to Normalcy

Grant has three rules: take the job, collect the pay, and keep moving.

As a bounty hunter scraping by in the Hunter's Plains, he has learned that staying in one place too long gets people killed- specifically, the people around him. Something has been following him since he could remember, something relentless and seemingly unstoppable, and the only way Grant knows to protect anyone is to never let them get close enough to matter.

Then a routine job leaves him bound to Kara, a foul-mouthed, surprisingly lethal young woman with secrets of her own and no patience for Grant's self-imposed isolation. With Kara in tow and the familiar threat still closing in, Grant finds himself pulled toward answers he never thought to look for- about the System that governs everyone's abilities, about the strange Class he has carried since childhood, and about why certain people keep looking at him like he is something far more dangerous than a scrawny teenage bounty hunter.

The Hunter's Plains is no place for gods. But it might not have a choice.
Oblivion's Ascent is a LitRPG coming-of-age story about a young man who has spent his whole life running, and what happens when he finally starts to wonder what he might be running toward instead of always having to worry what he is running from.

What to expect:

-Gratuitous use of violence
-A relatively gritty setting
-The LitRPG aspect might be underwhelming for some. In the end, it is secondary to the plot happening- like a supporter, it is not the main focus.
-A Magic System focused on Gems with a myriad of applications
-A Fantasy wasteland western
