Synopsis

Indigo, who, despite the odds, survived the extermination of his tribe, is in a tight spot. Having spent his second life as a member of the primitive yutsuukitsuu, a magical anthropomorphic species, he now finds himself an "involuntary servant" of the upper crust of human society and relegated to the role of pet to the youngest daughter of a noble house. The political machinations of rival houses are rife, and Indigo must decide whether to exploit a nefarious plot to secure his freedom or listen to the call of his better angels.
This is the second book in the series following "Don't Take Life Too Seriously; You Might Die," which covers Indigo's time in Yutsuukitsuu society.
