Synopsis

Before the transition, Ren Kurosawa was nothing—a quiet boy in a quiet Tokyo neighborhood, his hands skilled only with kitchen knives, his future a blank page he never bothered to fill. Then one ordinary night, sleep took him, and when he woke, the sky held two suns and a dragon's shadow passed over his family's tiny restaurant. He did not know how they had come to this world of strange races and stranger magic. He did not know what awaited them beyond the cobblestone road. He knew only this: the four of them were together, their restaurant stood whole, and everything else—survival, purpose, the truth of their arrival—remained shrouded in the golden light of an unknown dawn.
