What... is a magical girl?

Not a question any sane person should ever have to ask themselves. Unfortunately, after being spirited away to a city that exists on no map, in a new body, and with no name to call their own, they find themselves asking that very question.

Taken against their will and told they were free to do whatever they want. Told that there was no reason as to why they'd been chosen by the very being that brought them here. With no guiding light, starting from scratch, they will have to build up their strength, step by step.

But is it really free? Was there really no reason for why they've been chosen? And this city they find themselves in, is it really that simple? And can they even build something for themselves when their past is constantly nipping at their heels?

Can they overcome? Can they press forward against all the odds? Or will they be overwhelmed by it all? And at what cost?
