How to Heal a Soul
Synopsis
Wounding a soul should’ve been impossible. What about healing it?
Growing up in an orphanage, Valar didn’t dare to dream of something greater. Delving into the secrets of magic, grand adventures and endless wealth always seemed to be out of reach. Awakening to his magic much earlier than his peers changes things.
Armed with both life magic and his peculiar fire, Valar doesn’t need to find a healer anymore. He can become one on his own!
To do that, he’ll need to become much stronger. To become stronger, he’ll have to kill a lot of beasts. To kill beasts: Adventuring!
If only his own fire magic wouldn’t burn him as well… Wouldn’t that be great?
What to expect:
- A slow burn fantasy series full of magic, adventure and emotional breaks.
- A life mage main character with a fiery ace in his sleeve.
- Around 2.5–3k words per chapter
- No harem.
- No romance for a long while.
- A main character that learns from his mistakes. (Although they have to hit him pretty hard over the head before he gets it from time to time)
- A real cost of going beyond your limits, even if that cost isn’t plain to see at first.
- A power system that’s based on drawing more power out from your soul. No system windows or stats here, but ranks exist to quantify big milestones of progression!
- Criminal syndicates, great empires, gods, dragons and most importantly, Arthur. He’s a cool guy, but you should never play dice against him. Or cards. Or roulette. Or… Okay, just stay away from Arthur. That guy is bad news!
- I still owe Arthur eight gold and fifteen silver… help
- 3 chapters a week, tue/thu/sat.
