Arion was a young scientist chasing his mother’s dying dream.

Exhaustion killed him before failure did.

When the lights went out, they did not stay out.

He woke beneath an alien sky, trapped inside a body that was not his and stranded in a world where Essence can shape matter, life and the laws of nature.

The locals call it magic.

Arion sees a system.

Thermodynamics. Pressure. Phase change. Electromagnetism. Momentum.

The universal laws have not disappeared.

They have simply become negotiable.

With enough knowledge, control and power, those laws can be bent, bypassed or forced into arrangements that should never exist.

Surviving the result is another matter.

Arion’s scientific understanding gives him an advantage few people in this world possess, but knowledge alone cannot make his body withstand what his mind can design. Every experiment demands control. Every new spell consumes reserves. Every mistake leaves consequences that healing cannot always erase.

He wanted peace, privacy and enough time to understand what had happened to him.

Instead, corruption drags him towards war. War tears open paths into broken realities. Beyond them wait living worlds, Demons and entities formed under laws the human mind was never meant to process.

Fortunately—or perhaps unfortunately—Arion is not facing them alone.

A company of outcasts, failures and walking red flags gathers at his side—people who argue, drink, break laws and carry enough personal disasters to ruin any sensible plan.

Every discovery gives Arion greater control over this world.

It also teaches him new ways to break it.

And the more he forces reality to obey his understanding, the more reality appears determined to correct him.
