DA WAN: Tales of the Wondering Castle
Synopsis
In the shifting halls of the Wondering Castle, reality is merely a suggestion. The entire world is powered by Xu—an infinite void that holds the blueprint of all existence. To hold power here, one must master "Realization," the art of pulling the impossible from the void and weaving it into the physical world.
Heidelbeere L. Rival is a boy who wants nothing to do with this power. Burdened by echoes of a past he cannot leave behind, he seeks only a quiet, solitary existence. He has no desire to play the political games of the Divinity nations or to participate in the spectacle that sustains the Castle.
But the Castle is not a place that respects one's desire for peace.
Following an abrupt and unexplained shift in the programming of the Gaming Account Award Contest (G.A.A.C.), Rival is forcibly thrust into the center of the arena. Suddenly, he is a contender in a grand, twisted tournament. To survive, he must commit to the Nine Domains of Exhibition—disciplines of mastery split between Combat, Realization, and Control.
From the kinetic rhythm of Dance to the calculated influence of Architecture, he must learn to use these powers just to stay alive. Watching from the shadows is Berybelus Taiga, the enigmatic Guardian Angel of Serpents, whose playful malice turns every trial into a psychological labyrinth.
The game is rigged, the stakes are absolute, and the Castle itself seems to be watching his every move. Will Rival let himself be shaped by the rules of this world, or will he find a way to see beyond the walls and defy the fate laid out for him?
The game has begun. How far are you willing to go when your reality is at stake?
