Crimes of Icarus

At first, he didn't believe it was a murder. 

Rodion's newest investigation came with no signs of struggle or traces of magic, leaving the Sorcerer no better equipped than an ordinary detective.

But he can't declare it as just an unfortunate accident. The deceased's brother looms over his shoulder, clad in runic armour. Worse, this is his last chance to prove his worth and to be accepted into an elite investigative unit; declaring it as misfortune would mean abandoning his dreams.

Rodion is broke, his internship at the Falcons doesn't pay a dime, and frankly, he's scared of the Knight who attached himself to the investigation. The only thing that could make the situation worse would be thugs coming for their heads, high on a magic-enhancing drug that disappeared from the city years ago.
