Clockwork Sol

The old sorcery died when the star-gods abandoned the heavens, leaving the mortal world to a living, whispering midnight.

From this cosmic shadow, the new gods were born and unending swarms of their accursed spawn arose to hunt the last descendants of the stars to endlessly torment them. It is from fear and lies that the darkness grows—for their existence can only continue if there is light to cast their shadow —tempting desperate men to surrender to blind faith, succumbing to the unknown.

To survive, the remnants of civilization forged a new magic powered entirely by the literal burning light of humanity's creativity. But to contain this light, man had to give up what made them human in the first place, swapping their flesh for copper wire and pneumatic valves.

Raised within the dogmatic Academic-Cult that monopolizes technological sorcery in the city of Luxe, Silas must cast humanity away from this endless age of darkness no matter the cost. To do so, he must forge the ultimate cosmic heresy: a new star-god of brass and gears known as the Clockwork Sol.
