A Bond of Emerald and Bone

Erin, a pragmatic anthropologist, is violently summoned to a magical world and declared a Hero destined to fight a demonic war. But when she's found to have no magic, she's branded a failure. Armed only with her wits and the support of a few fellow heroes, Erin begins to unravel a conspiracy of propaganda and control, discovering the demons may not be the monsters she's been told and that her saviors have been hiding information on their motivations for centuries.

What NOT to expect:

*Power fantasy- Our girl will have to use her wits to outsmart her opponents.

*Immediate OP- Our girl is a recent college graduate with little real-life experience. Expect her to make mistakes and take some time to come into her own. 

*Magical MC- Our girl is a normal human thrown into a fantasy world. She doesn't come with magic nor a system, and she'll stay that way. I wanted to explore how someone without a "magical fix" button would experience and navigate an entirely new world that she is expected to save when she doesn't have the same resources as everyone else. 

This is NOT an action-forward story. It is a slow-burn mystery with some action/adventure sprinkled in for flavor. Graphic Violence tag is there because when action does happen, I don't shy away from the details.
