The apocalypse didn't come from divine wrath, a strange system or our world getting tangled in the webs of fate. 

It ended with a question.

[Have you ever had a dream?] 

A question whispered to everyone's ears from nowhere. One that spoke of all the treasures of the world and one that promised to bring life to every idea passing through one's mind. A whispering voice beckoning for compliance to a single request: make a wish.

If you want something, just wish for it and it'll come true. But remember, you only have one wish, and you have to pay it's price.

Scrambling to find a proper way of life at the end of a world misshapen by humanities desires and dreams, Elyas finally gives in to the urge.

He makes a wish.

He makes a wish in the hopes to maybe better his and his family's lives. A wish to gain power, to improve his standing in this dying world.

A wish, that would change his life forever.
