KINGS AND DRAGONS

Synopsis

Twelve years ago, the impossible happened.

The first dragon descended upon the world...

and the magic was born .

From that day on, no child was ever born fully human again. Magic ceased to be a blessing and became a disease of the blood. Some are born as elves, dwarves, or giants. Others emerge twisted into things that defy all reason. Priests call them blessings. Alchemists call them research subjects. Kings call them weapons.

And when an experiment fails...

all that remains is a pit filled with corpses.

That is where Dario awakens.

He remembers dying in September 1939, in a trench where he was sent to perish before he had ever truly lived. But death was not the end. He opens his eyes in the body of a twelve-year-old boy, with two small horns on his forehead and a mountain of dead mutants beneath his feet, at the bottom of the Graveyard of the Forsaken.

He knows nothing about this world.

He doesn't know what dragons truly are, why entire cities are built atop living dungeons, who created the monstrous races that now rule the continents, or what condemned more than one hundred thousand skeletons to wander endlessly through a forgotten kingdom.

He knows only one thing:

Survive.
