Homeless and broke, Will Wayman is dragged into BioZone City, a televised death game where players kill to harvest new abilities. He didn’t choose his weapon either.

Now he’s bonded to a talking hunting knife that won’t shut up … and won’t stop pushing him to kill.

“Find someone. Hunt them." Not quite the words of a motivational speaker, but decent advice in a death game.

Will's terrible stats are just as likely to kill him as the hunters roaming BioZone City. As Keel teaches him to hunt, Will crosses paths with Trix, a psychic grifter whose gang dies trying to harvest him. Ever the opportunist, she decides he's more useful alive. And Will doesn't mind following her blue eyes.

But they've only got five days before a purge wipes out everyone in Quadrant 1. Because in BioZone City, the weak die, the strong level up, and the audience is always watching.
