Now the run has taken another turn, forcing them to wander into the sands of Grave-Light Valley. The Cardinals have left the shadows of the city and stepped into a far more perilous horizon: Grave-Light Valley, carrying an heirloom that had already cost an elder to disappear.

​They are well aware that Grave-Light Valley is no ordinary tomb. Here, the midnight air plays tricks on the mind, casting illusions of the exact monsters they are most terrified of becoming across fields of flickering lanterns. With a relentless past full of unanswered questions still waiting to be resolved, they have come to find their grandmother, Jue Wei, believing she holds the answers they seek. To reach her, the group must brave a labyrinth of ancient traps and forgotten history, and above all, they must stay together.

​To reach her, they face a brutal choice: find the grandmother, survive the psychological traps, or die trying. As the truth of the past and the uncertainty of the future slowly pull them apart. They must find answers before it is too late—because deep beneath the glass sands, the valley is ready to bury them all.
