The Mystic Cube

（The novel follows a group of Awakened who deal with special cases – like cops solving crimes, except they use their superpowers to catch the bad guys. The early  part of the story has a fair share of detective work and tactical confrontations, with a hint of horror and just a sprinkle of humor.）

After the Great Calamity, humanity survives in underground cities built by the Chinese. In this new order, Asian blood means power and privilege.

Allen is a white cop in a dead‑end precinct. He's sharp. Capable. But the system was never built for people like him. His only hope is not to go mad like the rest of his community.

Then a mysterious stranger leaves him a cube.

It's not a toy. It's a prison.

When Allen touches it, six legendary warriors awaken, bound to his soul. A psychic controller. A titan with strength to rival mountains. A dancer whose movements shatter sound itself. A cultivator with a blade across his knee. A master of potions and elixirs. And a mage who commands wind, fire, thunder, lightning, and water.

They are his servants. They are his power. Every enemy he kills, every crystal he absorbs, makes all of them stronger.

Allen doesn't know why he was chosen. He doesn't know what the cube truly is. But when a headless woman walks into his precinct, and a fellow officer begins tearing out his own organs to eat, he understands.

The underground city is rotting from within.

And he's the only one who can still see the truth.

Now, with six servants bound to his soul, Allen must become the guardian the city never asked for, and the hero no one ever expected.

Not because he's chosen. But because he has to.
