While the barons and god-kings of this world fight with steel and spellcraft, Noah fights with supply chains, engineering and chemistry, and a working knowledge of every war Earth ever bothered to write down. He doesn't want a throne. He wants a wall, a power grid, and a place his ever-expanding people can sleep without fear. But every problem he solves leaves a bigger one in the rubble, and the kingdoms beyond the trees are starting to notice that something new is growing in the forest. Something that builds artillery, raises a dragon-daughter, and does not lose.

The sword is meant to stay in the scabbard. The question is how long the world will let him keep it there.
