Synopsis

Nobody likes Molly. She’s small, mousy, timid, a demon-kin, and an honest-to-the-gods witch. So when the town bundles her up and hands her over to the First Empire of Flame Inquisitor, she figures it’s a straight march to Berkhanstead for a tidy little beheading.

kalek isn’t at all what she was expecting. The guy could have walked off the pages of one of her stolen romance novels, but he shows no interest in her. Other than not killing her and basically letting her live with him. It's confusing, how is she supposed to be the main character in her own romance story if Fire Islander’s don’t do romance?
