The Bored God's Descent

by nightpen90 Ongoing

Synopsis

For countless eons, Ursilium ruled as the Supreme God of all creation — an absolute existence before whom galaxies trembled, wars ceased at a whisper, and lesser deities bowed without question. He created the perfect universe, set every cosmic wheel in motion, and watched it run flawlessly... forever.

And that was the problem.

Bored beyond all reckoning, the Almighty God makes the most absurd decision in the history of existence: he retires. Abandoning his divine throne and sealing 99.999% of his incomprehensible power, Ursilium reincarnates on a small blue planet called Earth — as an ordinary human baby.

He is reborn as Zenoda Blanco, the son of a humble hunter and his wife, in the tiny coastal village of Kaigan. No throne. No galaxy-shattering power. No one bowing at his feet. Just a rapturous, terrifying, delightful thing called being alive.

But absolute divinity is not so easily buried. By age five, Zenoda can lift ancient oak trees with one hand. By nine, he bends rivers to his will without chanting a single spell. By twelve, he humiliates seasoned veterans in swordsmanship using footwork alone.

And behind it all, quietly orbiting the planet in a cosmic command station she absolutely should not have built, his ever-devoted — and profoundly overprotective — celestial handmaiden Mincilia watches every breath Zenoda takes. She has already declared herself this world's Creation Goddess and is seriously considering destroying anyone who so much as frowns in his direction.

When a wandering merchant's invitation opens the door to Koreson, the kingdom's grand capital, Zenoda sets out with four students he forged from raw potential into something extraordinary. Entering the prestigious Royal Academy of Magic and Knights with deliberately mediocre grades — because what's the point of school if you already know everything? — Zenoda settles in for a quiet, unremarkable academic life.

Naturally, the universe refuses to cooperate.

He is immediately entangled with Princess Elara Rosecold, a prodigiously gifted ice mage whose cold pride hides a cracked foundation, a trio of insufferable noble heirs who somehow become his unlikely companions, and a shadow organization called Purple Snake that is quietly poisoning the kingdom from within using cursed contraband that mutates people into monsters.

As Zenoda navigates class rivalries, royal court intrigue, forbidden black markets, and a king who tests him at swordpoint, one question looms larger with every chapter:

How long can the God who rules all of existence convincingly pretend to be nobody?
