My name is Andrew, and I am seventeen years old. My life had been nothing but miserable. Trapped within the pale walls of a hospital, I had spent every single day of my existence struggling and fighting and losing battle after battle against diseases that had no mercy toward me.

I had not amounted to much in life, nor had I ever truly tasted any of life’s goodness.

But all of that changes on one fateful day. I die, and I find myself standing before gods. They look upon me with pity. They smile at my bravery. They praise the courage I had shown at the last moment, and they offer me their blessings. They reward me with powers beyond reckoning and reincarnate me into a world of magic and swords, a world where I am tasked to kill the Demon King who is going to be summoned in the distant future. But before any of that, I am going to enjoy every single gift they have given me and live the life I was never privileged enough to have.

I am going to learn magic. I am going to make friends, real friends, and laugh with them and play with them. And yes, I am going to kill the Demon King when he is resurrected.
