The Ashes of Progression

Reincarnation and transmigration—being reborn in another world was something his younger self would have gleefully accepted—the him who sought an escape from his mundane, colourless life. But when those fantasies become his unwilling reality, he is forced to confront a world that he would have preferred to know only through a screen.

Now he must forge his own path in an unforgiving world where unchecked monsters can level cities and survival demands more from him than strength alone.

He must also remain wary of the monsters within those walls wearing human skin. Men and women alike who sheath their claws in silk, speaking with honeyed words and courteous smiles as their fangs remain hidden behind embroidered fans.

It's my more realistic and mature take on something you've probably seen over a hundred times, but don't expect a copy and paste of some bs power fantasy/ or self-insert, inc*l who goes after anyone wearing a skirt and thinks their beneath him.

Just a guy whose forced to adapt to his unfortunate circumstance to survive and hopefully make it out alive.
