The Apathetic 'Hero'

Whoever said Reincarnation or Isekai was an awesome idea, clearly wasn't living a fulfilling life. You could always see the type—they were either unattractive, broke, or had some kind of illness of the body or mind. They always think 'next life will be better.' They quit trying to make this one work. Derick wasn't the type. He was average in looks, wasn't rich or struggling financially, and he was healthy. He was the everyday Joe that had his stuff together just well enough to be considered competent. He even had a career. Or, he did... Until one day he went around a corner and found himself in a room of endless white. He wasn't even sure how he got there, or how he died for that matter. Now he's being reincarnated into a fantasy world and has been tasked with being a hero... except he has absolutely no interest in that whatsoever.
