SoulForge Legacy - Rewrite

The city, hell the world, is falling apart from a lack of care and resources. But hey, at least I have a job. Or not. Turns out that even in this day and age, companies would rather automate than hire more people. At least they gave me a decent chunk of change. Now if only I could find another job.

Yeah, right, like that is going to happen. Not in this economy. Not in this city. Not with my high school degree. No. I needed to do something else. Maybe I could play the new game I keep hearing about. The one that rich people are pouring money into. All so that they can get an item, influence, help, guides, anything to get an edge over their friends.

While I have never been the best at various games, I have found my little niches in each game. All I would need to do here was get in and find a spot before someone else did. Then I could try and take advantage of the rich assholes while I could.

I mean, what could go wrong?

Authors Note: Due to edits, rewrites, and complete overhauling of the story over the past two years, I thought it was high time I reuploaded the story. After posing the question to the current readers, they agreed so here we are. Until we catch up to where the original is, I will be posting at least one chapter a day.
