Requiem for the Rain: The Silent Storm
Synopsis
Requiem for the Rain: The Silent Storm unfolds across the fictional continent of Maregena, home to two rival nations: Nerussia and Costa Ki. Multiple points of view of characters provide storylines that drive the narrative — the machinations of the ruling elite on both sides of the war, the struggles of common folk and knights caught in the chaos, and the desperate fight of the republic to survive.
The novel begins when Sir William Spring gets called back to the capital for an urgent briefing. In the meeting, he learned that Costa Ki is planning an invasion in the Libenburg direction, so he was tasked with defending that region along with Sir Tanishq Upadhaya, but the events which unfolded were way out of his reach.
It also explores the viewpoint of Juan Martin Castanos, a republican soldier who idolises the Republic as the sanctuary of freedom and justice. He will make countless tough choices to help the republic he loves so dear...
