Synopsis

Objects in Motion

Twenty years ago, the hero Glorybeam and the villain Blacktime fought. The aftermath leveled twenty city blocks, killed thousands, and orphaned hundreds. Neither of them have ever faced any consequences.

Isaac Hartson was one of those orphans. As a nominal-class metahuman – a dreg – he knows that he’ll never be able to hold them accountable by force, but years as a janitor have taught him the value of simple plans and hard work.

But once set in motion, events stay in motion, and in Star City there is always someone with an angle. Isaac will need more than just hard work and a simple plan to keep from being buried under the tide of consequences he’s created.

Objects in Motion Book Two: Elements of Force

After dealing with the would-be Mechaniacal, Isaac Hartson joins Sarah – once Smokeshow – on a journey to the Deep Kingdoms. There, he hopes, he will have time to fully understand and explore the new facets to his power. But the consequences of Gloryfall go deep and wide, and with Isaac’s abilities no longer secret he soon find himself fleeing across the Hollow Earth, trying to stay one step ahead of those interested in using him.

Objects in Motion Book Three: Elements of Force

It is one thing to come to terms with your own power. It is quite another to use it properly.

An old friend calls upon Isaac to hire him for a very specific purpose: resolve the civil war that has gripped the moon for hundreds of years. It’s an old and unwieldy thing, deeply entrenched with dividing lines based on things humans can’t sense and don’t understand. Something that has claimed too many lives and ground down the lunarian peoples.

It is up to Isaac to force this intractable issue to resolve without a complete genocide. As thing stand, the only way for the two sides to reconcile is for one or the other to be entirely broken. But even a perfect stalemate can change, and if there is one thing Isaac is good at, it is change.
