Null Spec Nate
Synopsis
How much are you willing to pay for freedom?
When Nathan, the star quarterback, risks everything to break into a dockside warehouse to unravel the conspiracy of his missing twin brother, he winds up injected into something that should not exist. He wakes up on the wrong side of a foreign moon, trapped in the gravity of the World of Regalia.
Now he is a Level One in a brutal VRMMO reality, where the “GMs” are less than helpful and the rules are written in blood and memories. But Nathan has a secret: a corrupted artifact that the System has not noticed, and the creeping feeling that he has caught the eye of a long-forgotten God.
Accompanied by a best friend who now prefers her steaks raw and wriggling, Nathan must gather a crew to navigate a world filled with monsters and fading memories. His brother is out there somewhere, just out of reach.
Will Nathan be able to break his party out before the game breaks him?

LAUNCHING JUNE 15TH! The first book is finished at 145k words. I will be releasing chapters daily for the first few weeks, and then going to an every other day schedule after that.
What to Expect:
I am a huge fan of the classic MMO genre. After struggling to find a new game-world to call home, I decided to create one as a novel.
Inspired by games such as World of Warcraft, EverQuest, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, Runescape, Rift, Guild Wars, and more…
Pre-OP MC: This is not a rush-to-the-end-game style of play. The grind will be long and full of adventure. But as long as Nathan keeps his wits about him and his friends close, there will be a satisfying journey to the top. Full of quests, dungeons, and epic loot.
Tactical Party-Based Combat: Nathan is the quarterback of his party. He does not just use a sword; he reads the field, calls the plays, and throws shadow bolts with the precision of a game-winning touchdown pass. Focused on positioning and high-stakes strategy rather than just mindless grinding.
Unique Classes and Races: There is a wide variety of different class/race combos. From familiar faces such as Human Paladins and Goblin Rogues, to Varanid Inquisitors and Stryx Alchemists. And each class has its own four separate specializations, or “specs,” to dive into.
Found Family: A focus on the new allies that Nathan will make along the way.
Humour and Grit: Epic Fantasy meets gritty VR reality; serious stakes and bloody violence, balanced by the occasional snark.
LitRPG Elements: Medium-crunchiness. There are stats, level-ups, and loot under the surface of every action. But narrative comes first as you experience the world through Nathan’s eyes.
No Harem: but there is maybe the potential for a slow-burning romance subplot.
