Lantern Fantasy: Return of the Demon King

Arthur had no place to call home.

He lived alone, drifting through life while being surrounded by people who belonged elsewhere.

Then, one night, a voice invaded his dream, dragging him into another world.
Not as a hero, but as the Demon King.

This is my first story written with the intent to publish, so it may be rough around the edges. English is not my first language, so some grammar or phrasing may feel awkward at times, but I would genuinely appreciate honest and constructive feedback.

This is a passion project and a slow-burn, introspective fantasy about a man who awakens as the Demon King. It is not meant to be action-heavy from the start. The story leans more into mystery, identity, character growth, atmosphere, and the weight of forgotten history. Action will come later, but the early chapters focus more on Arthur’s confusion, inner conflict, and the world slowly unfolding around him.
