Cover for HIJACK [LitRPG][System Apocalypse][Female Lead] Read on Royal Road

HIJACK

by Victor Hunt Ongoing

Synopsis

When the System gamifies Earth, everyone gets a class. Klara gets an error message.

What she has instead is HIJACK. Touch someone else's power and it's hers. A Vanguard's shield. A Scout's blades. An Enforcer's turret. Each one working like she's trained for years.

But every stolen power runs on a clock, and the clock doesn't care whether she's finished. Each one leaves a little of itself behind. She hasn't worked out what it's taking in return.

The System keeps score. Every theft pushes her AGGRO higher. The monsters pouring out of the rifts ignore easier prey now. They hunt the girl who won't play fair.

The audience is watching too. Everything is broadcast. The crowd votes on who gets supplies and who gets left with nothing.

Then a drone falls out of a rift and clamps onto her wrist. The System calls it PR-7. Klara calls it Pry. It feeds her vitals to the System in real time. It lies about nearly everything else. Which raises an uncomfortable question: why would a piece of the System want to help her cheat?

Maybe because the System isn't here to save Earth. Earth is just next on the list.

A cost-based LitRPG where every hijack makes the hero stronger, more wanted, and less safe in their own body.
