In a world where Heavenly Gifts grant miraculous powers, some gifts are unstable or even outright dangerous. Kane Bramblewood is a 16-year-old boy who's plunged into a harrowing, psychological adventure to save his sister after she awakens a Heavenly Gift where the souls of the dead can inhabit her body. Fanatics seeking to revive a long dead villain kidnap her to use her unstable power for evil. The clock is ticking though. He has to save her before her powers leave a mark that can never fade. On his journey to save her life, he meets others burdened with Heavenly Gifts. Some of these gifts are more stable while others are so disturbing that they can't even be named.
