In a world where the color of your Shard determines everything, Grey means nothing.

Gesbiek knows this better than anyone. At the bottom of the Red-Tooth Clan’s brutal hierarchy, he hauls waste, endures beatings, and survives on scraps. His Grey Shard has never glowed. Never responded. Never done anything but mark him as a biological mistake the world forgot to discard.

Then he eats something he shouldn’t. A strange, cold, impossible object found near his grandfather’s grave. A Silver Beetle that should not exist.

And the Grey Shard cracks open.

What installs itself inside him is not a power. Not a class. Not the kind of gift the strong are born with. It is something older, something the System was never meant to give to anyone. Something that looks at a starving runt dying in a ditch and whispers: Administrator.

Banished, hunted, and left for dead in the forbidden Darkwood, Gesbiek doesn’t pray for survival. He starts taking notes. Every creature, every kill, every tier above him becomes data to be analyzed, exploited, and redirected. He doesn’t fight the world’s rules. He finds the bugs in them.

Because it turns out the Grey Shard was never broken.It was just waiting for the right host.
