Xen isn't your typical Hunter. In fact, he isn't even human.

When the World Dungeon appeared twenty years ago, humanity was thrown into chaos. Magic flooded the world, awakening a chosen few with supernatural abilities. These lucky few became known as Hunters, tasked with delving into the dungeon's depths and culling the monsters within before they could reach the surface.

Xen wasn't aware of any of this. Born as a lowly slime on the first floor of the World Dungeon, his only concern was satiating his hunger and surviving the wrath of the two-legged invaders. But food was hard to come by as he was weak and unable to fight anything he encountered.

That all changed when, through a desperate encounter, he successfully devoured a Hunter and was rewarded with the unique [Shapeshifter] class and S-rank skill [Devour], which lets him steal the skills of those he eats. Now able to blend in with the very humans and guilds sent to hunt him, for the first time, he has the strength to change his fate.

From lowly slime to S-rank Hunter, this is the story of Xen's rise to power.
