Diamonds! Witness Legends takes place in an anime world filled with superpowers, special gems, and portals. Our protagonist, Marie Diamond, begins her journey at age 9. The youngest and smallest in her family, Marie is determined to follow in the footsteps of her 11-year-old sister, Wendy Diamond, who excels in both combat and thievery-a path Marie is eager to follow. Both sisters enjoy the dual thrill of playing hero and villain. Marie has been trained in hand-to-hand combat by her dad and her older sister, Wendy. She loves stealing and is used to it, but despite all this, Marie still makes mistakes-and even when she succeeds, it never feels good enough. She wants to be as skilled and fearless as Wendy, and until then, she won't be satisfied. Both girls are known as thieves, though their parents have no idea. Marie refuses to quit because, after being beaten in fights and bullied at ages 7 and 8, this life became her peace and pleasure. Wendy won't quit either-not because of pain, but because she loves the thrill and excitement of it all.
