Chronicles of Zorren

Zorren Tempest is mid-raid with his oldest friends when the sky fills with a countdown no one asked for. When it hits zero, humanity gets classes, stats, and a system that doesn’t explain itself and Zorren gets a body that finally, terrifyingly, works again. He becomes a Guardian: shield up, built to stand between danger and everyone who can’t stand there themselves. That’s the easy part. Holding the line is harder through street-level portals and drowned dungeons, through a Guild built on a charter he means to actually keep, through something ancient enough to call this world’s fall a memory and promise to do it again. Every fight costs something real. Every choice to protect someone costs something more. And the system keeps very careful, very individual track of exactly what he’s earning and exactly what he’s spending.
