A Covenant of Arms

Ten years ago, Gabriel Vance quit the Jude City Police Department, disgusted by its corruption yet unable to stand against its immense influence. Broken by the death of his former partner and disillusioned with the corruption of the system itself, he thought he had left everything behind him... until one day, Maya, his partner's daughter who had also joined the force, comes to him for help. She has uncovered a vast conspiracy within the city government itself, and now possesses the evidence to bring it down entirely.

However, Jude City has labeled her a fugitive from the law, and sent its notorious Tactical Response Unit to silence her and destroy the evidence. Determined to make amends for his previous inaction, Gabriel resolves to aid her in her seemingly impossible quest to bring the truth to light, choosing to stand against the badge... in order to save it.

Written as a homage to the heroic-bloodshed/action-genre of Hong Kong films of the 1980s-early 2000s.
