The Fool's Tower

A Gift is a sign of affection from the gods. Towers are created to test those who receive Gifts and determine who is worthy of the god's love. A black tower, however, isn't made for blessed children to show their gratitude. It is a punishment.  

Ryder Hartigan needs no introduction in the Kingdom of Artros. A Beldovian orphan who brought the Kingdom of Artros to its knees with the flick of his eyes. He was the boy responsible for the Royal Tower massacre--a horrific event which ended in the death of six of the Kingdom's brightest blessed children. Imprisoned deep below the King's Castle, he spends his days alone and in darkness.  

When a black tower opens in the heart of a major city, Ryder is forced to fight for a kingdom that wants him dead.  Nine others join him in clearing the tower, including Andrea Silverfield, the Princess of Artros. Many believed she was closer to a goddess than human. She must work with the boy that killed her family and climb to the top of an unforgiving test. Will she kill him before the Tower does? Or does he have secrets about what happened on the darkest day in the Kingdom's history?
